Famous Restaurant Recipes – Perfect For Entertaining at Home

When you go out to eat, you and your family probably have favorite restaurants that serve some rather famous dishes which you know you’re going to order again and again. Famous Restaurant Recipes become famous for a reason – because they’re so yummy! No wonder you find yourself thinking “If only I could figure out how to make this dish, I’d surely impress my dinner guests, and maybe even my mother-in-law!”

Most everyone recognizes a few classic restaurant dishes. Serving these famous snacks, entrees, desserts, or beverages not only can help you entertain at home to save money, but will give your guests a real conversation starter… “Now, where have I had these wings before?” Of course, be prepared for the inevitable debate about which Restaurant Recipe was used for the dish, and then be ready to produce a copy of the Recipe For everyone to take home!

How can you use some of these famous restaurant dishes when entertaining at home? Perhaps you’re throwing a game-day or race-day party. That usually calls for some heavy hitting, hot and spicy wings, big steaming bowls of chili, jalapeno covered cheesy nachos, and refreshing beverages. Or, if your party is a more formal affair such as an anniversary, you’re probably thinking of the last time you had prime rib at that fancy restaurant. Wouldn’t it be nice to serve that famous prime rib at your party without the expense of having to host your party at the restaurant?

Pick any restaurant that your family likes to frequent and I’ll bet you’ll find a number of favorite dishes. Next, go online or visit your local bookstore to find recipes for the dishes you would like to serve. When I’m entertaining with restaurant dishes, I like to stick to the same restaurant, creating a sort of theme around it. Here’s an example of the dishes I made a few weeks ago for an outback steakhouse themed party.

  • Outback Coconut Shrimp as an appetizer
  • Sirloin Steak, marinated in Outback’s Steak Marinade
  • Outback Aussie Fries and Outback’s Chopped Salad as sides
  • Outback Steakhouse Sidney’s Sinful Sundae for dessert

Whether you are entertaining your boss, your family, your book club friends, or your business clients, your guests will enjoy their favorite dishes made famous by great restaurants that we all know and love!
